Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty
The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty begins upon expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty, and will continue to cover the following components from the Original Date of Sale. It does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance, or any items excluded elsewhere.

What is a Powertrain?
The powertrain of a vehicle refers to its engine, transmission, and drivetrain. In other words, it encompasses all of the major internal components of a car that allow it to generate power and run on the road. These components include some of the most important parts of the car that are incidentally some of the most expensive parts to repair or replace, including its engine and transmission.

• Engine:  Cylinder block and cylinder head(s), all internal lubricated parts including pistons, piston rings, wrist pins, connecting rods, rod and main bearings, crankshaft, camshaft (s) and bearings, followers, lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, rocker shafts and bushings, balance shafts, valves, valve seats, valve guides, valve springs and retainers, oil pump, oil pump pick up, oil pump drive and water pump.

• Transmission: Automatic Transmission Equipped: Transmission Case and all internal lubricated parts including oil pump, valve body, torque converter, governor, clutches, bushings, shafts, gear sets, bearings, vacuum modulator, dip stick and tube. Manual Transmission Equipped: Transmission case and all internal lubricated parts including shafts, bushings, bearings, gear sets, synchronizers and shift forks. Transfer Case Equipped: The Transfer Case housing and all internal lubricated parts.

• Drive Axle: Drive axle housing and all internal lubricated components including carrier case, gear sets, chain and sprockets, bearings, bushings, axle shafts, constant velocity joints and double offset joints (except if boot was damaged or missing). Rear Wheel Drive Equipment: Drive axle case and all internal lubricated parts including carrier, ring and pinion gears, gear sets, bearings, bushings, limited slip clutch pack, axle shafts, drive shaft(s), drive shaft support an u-joints. Four Wheel Drive/All Wheel Drive Equipped: All components listed under Front Wheel Drive Equipped and Rear Wheel Drive Equipped are covered.

Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty

• The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty does not apply to Fleet or Lease vehicles.

• The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty does not apply to electric vehicles such as the Hyundai Kona EV.

• The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty is applicable to NEW Hyundai and 2022 or newer Stellantis (Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Chrysler) vehicles. 

• A $200 deductible applies to each claim made on the Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty.

• Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty is non-transferable and expires upon transfer of ownership of the covered vehicle. The Warranty is also voided by commercial use of vehicle, including ride share or delivery services.

• Factory maintenance must be completed at Cars Plus Guam.

• Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty is transferable to the mainland U.S.A. as long as it is serviced at an ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) dealer or shop.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s covered?
Everything that’s included in the Factory Powertrain Limited Warranty is now covered for as long as you own your vehicle. Valid only for original owner. $200 deductible after initial Factory Limited Warranty expires; 5 year or 60,000 miles whichever comes first.

How much does it cost?
The Lifetime Powertrain Warranty comes standard with every new Hyundai or 2021 or newer FCA FCA (Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Chrysler) vehicle at no extra charge.

Is there any extra maintenance required to maintain the warranty?
No. You must simply follow the factory recommended maintenance as referenced in the owner’s manual. It’s that easy. Be sure to keep all service records.

What if I need repairs while I’m not on Guam? Or if I move off island or to another state?
One of the best features of this warranty is that it is honored at ALL ASE certified facilities from coast to coast.

Is the Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty transferable if I sell the vehicle?
No. The Lifetime Powertrain Warranty stays with the owner as long as they own the vehicle. It cannot be transferred via sale or deed of gift.
