As most of you know, we held a rockin' Video/Jingle Showdown last month calling for talent and creativity! We were looking for the video that not only oozed creativity but also showed some technicality and even incorporated our jingle. There were two lucky awards up for grabs, the People's Choice, which was based on Facebook votes also known as "likes," and there was the President's Choice, which is pretty self-explanatory.
The lucky winner of BOTH awards was none other than Jason Triplett, for his "many car decision" video! Jason won $500 for the People's Choice, and $500 for President's Choice! Congratulations, Jason (and his partner Jessica)!
And a HUGE thank you to all the participants and submissions. This was a fun & wild ride!

Guam's got a new Jingle in town.
It’s fresh. It’s catchy. And the best part about it, it’s homegrown; from the music to the theatrical presentation, to the company. After more than 10 years of serving our island’s automotive needs, Cars Plus now has a smash-hit jingle to match its ever-growing company. Produced locally by Guam’s very own Edgar Flores and the exceptionally talented Joy James, the Cars Plus jingle culminates perfectly what you could expect from the locally-owned and operated dealership.
“We wanted our jingle to match perfectly with our company and who we are. We wanted a local sound, feel, and most importantly, we wanted it produced right here on Guam,” says Jennifer Crisostomo. “In just these short sixty seconds, you get a feel for what you could expect from Cars Plus. You get a feel for what we are all about.”
It’s been a long time coming, but boy was it worth the wait. Not only was the jingle created on island from exceptional talent, but the theatrical presentation, as it’s being called, was also produced by a pair of well-known gentlemen in the community. The creative and avant-garde duo known as the Muña Brothers, Don and Kel took on the task of creating an image spot which reflected not only the services provided, but the state of the art facility, the people, and the culture at Cars Plus. It wasn’t an easy task, as pleasing Joey Crisostomo never is, but the Muña Brothers swimmingly executed a fantastic production and needless to say, Joey couldn’t be more impressed.

Electric vehicles to hit Guam January 2010!
Going green just got a little easier for Guam. In January (2010), Cars Plus is announcing the launch of the newest addition to their lineup of brands – GEM Electric Motorcars – more commonly known as GEM.
While gas prices continue to fluctuate and with environmental concerns on the rise, this is the perfect solution for our community. GEM cars are 100% battery-electric and emit zero tailpipe emissions. They’re smooth, they’re clean, and they’re quiet. As if that isn’t enough, because they are so eco-friendly, tax credits and financial incentives may be available.
These multi-purpose electric cars could be used just about anywhere on island; in villages, gated communities, hotels, military bases, and government agencies just to name a few. They’re not only eco-friendly and more efficient than ever, but they’re economical, low maintenance, and made with leading-edge technology.
In 2007, GEM won the prestigious Blue Sky Merit Award, which is presented to companies, organizations, or individuals selected for making outstanding contributions to clean air, energy-efficiency, and to the advanced transportation industry.
“With our needs rapidly changing, fuel prices at the forefront of people’s minds, and our environment being a huge priority, it’s a small investment like this that could make a big impact to our island. Knowing that we offer the option to go electric on Guam is so important to us,” added Crisostomo.
